زندگی نامه یاس
یاسر بختیاری در 30 خرداد 1361 در تهران متولد شد او در سن 16 سالگی ابتدا با گوش دادن به موسیقی رپ کار خود را آغاز کرد و این زمانی بود که پدرش از سفرهای تجاری اش از آلمان برگشت و برای او آخرین سی دی توپاک و سایر موسیقی های هیپ هاپ را آورد . پس از مرگ ناگهانی پدرش ، یاس با پذیرش مسئولیت خانواده و مراقبت از آنها مواجه شد . با بدهی هایی که پدرش برجا گذاشته بود به سختی قادر بود که از عهده خانواده و مخارج زندگی بر آید . یاس در سن 18 سالگی مجبور شد تمام آرزو های دانشگاه خود را کنار گذاشت و دانشگاه را ترک کند و شروع به کار نمود تا از کل خانواده حمایت نماید . این مقارن با زمانی بود که او شروع به نوشتن شعر نمود و سپس شعرها رابه موسیقی تبدیل کرد . این اولین راهی بود که او را با ذهن و فکر پدرش نزدیک میکرد . پس از زلزله بم در ایران ، یاس از جان باختن بسیاری از مردم ایران ( تقریباً 50 هزار نفر ) در این حادثه ، به شدت ناراحت شد و او آهنگ " بم " را برای اولین بار نوشت و این آغاز حرفه خوانندگی او بود . او تشخیص داد که از طریق موسیقی رپ می تواند به مردم نزدیک شود و می تواند به سادگی و ساده تر از تمام فرم های موسیقی که فقط شامل چند دسته خواننده و شعر است تمام منظور خود را بیان کند . و فهمید که از طریق موسیقی ، قادر است به مردم الهام ببخشد و الهام بخش میلیون ها جوان ایرانی باشد ، سپس او تصمیم گرفت تا آهنگ های خود را برای دولت مطرح کند و مجوز ارائه یک آلبوم را بگیرد . او از مقامات اداری سالیان زیادی پاسخ نشنید . او تلاش زیادی کرد و بارها و بارها سبک آهنگ های او را ( رپ ) مورد استهزاء قرار دادند تا جایی که می گفتند شبیه خواندن روزنامه است . تا زمانی که با تلاش های او ، برای 6 آهنگ از 10 آهنگ او ، مجوز توسط دولت جمهوری اسلامی صادر شد ، او گفت که من در آهنگ هایم نفرین نمی کنم و راجع به سکس و تخلفات چیزی نمیگویم ، من می خواهم با افتخار در جلوی خانواده ام آهنگ هایم را اجرا کنم ، آهنگ من معمولاً با گله و شکایات از جامعه آغاز میشود . اما پایان آن همیشه امید است . و اهمیت این کار ، الهام بخشیدن به نسل جدید است تا از بهترین قوه پتانسیل و نهفته ی خود بهره بگیرند . در ضمن ما به این نیاز داریم و به این ترتیب در طول مدت کوتاهی یاس توانست از خواندن در جلوی یک دسته ی کوچک از مردم برای تمام ایران بخواند . موسیقی و آهنگ های او ، هم اکنون به وسیله ی میلیونها نفر دانلود می شود و به آن گوش می دهند و در وبسایت ها و پرشین بلاگ های مختلف می توان آنها را دید . در سال 2006 ، یاس آهنگ " سی دی رو بشکن " را نوشت و این درباره یک هنرپیشه ی زن ایرانی بود که قربانی لو رفتن فیلم شخصی خود شده بود . رسوایی کار این قربانی تا جایی پیش رفت که او کار خود را از دست داد . در آواز های یاس ، افرادی مورد انتقاد قرار گرفتند که در پخش کردن رسوایی مردم دخیل بودند و از آنها خواست تا این کار شرم آور را متوقف کنند . این آهنگ ، باعث شد تا جوانان ایرانی تکانی بخورند و هزاران نفر نوشتند و اعتراف کردند که این کار ( پخش سی دی ) را کنار گذاشتند و سی دی مذکور را شکستند . این آهنگ به وسیله میلیونها نفر فقط در ایران گوش فرا داده شد و دانلود گردید . آهنگ های یاس از آب های بین المللی نیز فراتر رفته و هم اکنون صدای نسل جدید چه در ایران و چه در خارج شده است و البته اغلب به او " توپاک فارسی " لقب داده اند . آهنگ " هویت من " با افتخار میراث فارسی توسط او خوانده شد و یاد آور فیلم جنجال بر انگیز 300 بوده است . این آهنگ به نوعی سوال و جواب ملی بوده که برای نسل های جوانتر به ویژه یهودیان ایرانی که مایلند تا خود را به فرهنگ و تاریخ غنی ایران ربط دهند بوده است . موسیقی او دارای یک فرم استاندارد جدید برای رپ فارسی می باشد و الهام گرفته از بسیاری از رپرهایی است که با پیام های مثبت و پر مفهوم وارد موسیقی می شوند . او با سایر موسیقیدانان همکاری دارد و قصد او معرفی رپ فارسی به جهان است . ضمناً یاس پیام امید و وحدت خود را به همه ی دنیا فرستاده است و به وسیله رسانه های گروهی جهان از او مصاحبه به عمل آمد که شبکه CNN و BBC و نشنال جغرافیا از آن جمله هستند . او همچنین قراردادی را با شرکت نشر موسیقی آمریکا " مدیبیا " به امضا رساند . انتشارات اِور گرین ( همیشه سبز ) ( اورگرین ، خانه ی آخرین کاتالوگ توپاک شاکور است که به وسیله آن مجوزی برای آواز خانی یاس و توپاک برای نشان دادن پل فرهنگی میان آن ها صادر شد ) .

business trips in Germany and bring him the latest Tupac CD and other hip hop music. After the sudden and untimely death ohis father, YAS was faced with the responsibility of becoming the primary care taker of his household. With his father’s debts mounting and barely being able to make ends meet to live and feed the family, YAS at the age of 18 was forced to leave his college ambitions behind and begin to work and support his entire family (his mother, younger brother and triplet sisters). It was at this time that he began to write poetry which soon turned into text lyrics for his music. It was also his way of staying close to his father’s memory.
After the Bam earthquake in Iran, YAS was devastated at the number of lives lost (nearly 50,000 people) in the disaster, it was then, that he wrote his first song “Bam”. This was the beginning of his singing career. He realized that through rap music he had the ability to reach people by telling full stories that he thought was not easy to do through other forms of music which only consisted of a few versus and a chorus. Realizing that through his music, he had the ability to inspire people and reach millions of other young people in Iran, he decided to present his songs to the government and request a permission to release an album. Many years of hearing “NO!” from the officials, and being ridiculed countless times for his singing style (rap) resembling that of “reading a newspaper”, his efforts, finally paid off. To date, in an unprecedented move, six of his ten songs have been granted permission to be released in the Islamic Republic of Iran. “I don’t curse in my music or sing about sex and violence. I want to be able to proudly sing my music in front of my family. My music usually begins with a complaint or the social ills of my society -- but it always ends with hope. It’s important to inspire the younger generations to be their best potential. We need this.” Indeed, in a short amount of time, YAS went from singing in front of small groups to now being one of Iran’s #1 hip hop artist. His music is now being listened to and downloaded by millions across the world through various websites and hundreds of Persian blogs.
In 2006, YAS wrote a song called “CD ro Beshkan” (Break That CD), which was written about a well known female actress in Iran who was the victim of sex scandal tape that was being circulated. The scandal ultimately ended her blossoming career. In the song YAS criticizes the people for playing a role in her demise and asked everyone to stop spreading her shame and to get rid of that infamous footage from their computers and mobile phones. The song hit a nerve among the Iranian youth and thousands wrote in and confessed that they went ahead and ‘broke that CD’. The song was listened to and downloaded by millions in Iran alone. YAS’ music has crossed the International waters and he is now fast becoming the voice of his generation -- for Iranians inside and outside of their country who often refer to him as the “Persian Tupac”.
YAS’ song, “Hoviate Man” (My Identity) sings of his pride in his Persian heritage and a mention of the controversial movie “300”. The song has become sort of a national anthem for the younger generations especially the Iranian Diaspora that are eager to connect to their rich culture and history. His music has set a new standard for Persian rap and has inspired many up and coming rappers to follow his lead and sing of more meaningful and positive messages in their own music and when he is not recording himself, you will find him collaborating with other musicians so that together they can “introduce Persian rap to the world”.
Indeed, YAS’ message of hope and unity has been heard across the waters -- he has been featured and interviewed by the media worldwide, including CNN, BBC and National Geographic (cover story on Persia August 2008). He has also just signed a contract with an American music publishing company; Modiba Publishing (Evergreen Publishing) (Ironically, Evergreen Publishing is also the home of the late Tupac Shakur catalogue who has granted permission for a mashup song between YAS and Tupac to show how hip hop can help bridge the cultural divide between us
